Subject: incredible
damn, this show is amazing. a nice rebubula starts off things right, then medeski and sam bush join in for a few. medeski's jamming on plane crash is crazy. sam's sailin' shoes is pretty cool (homage to little feat). also, got my mojo workin' is nice, with some wierd spacy shit in the middle. same old river, then crossroads with trey is amazing. when the second set comes along, the night has already been set in motion. spine > buster rocks, and boogie on just made the night. trey's solo acoustic stuff is cool (especially wilson). the peaches > after midnight encore is incredible. the whole show is a great listen, one of the best moe. shows i've heard.

This show was fucking amazing 4 hits of acid a bunch of booze and the music took care of the rest.... However when it comes to the tourch being pass no such thing is happening STS9 Has taken over period.

Subject: Phish Period (Spoiler note: Cheesey Ending)
We shouldn't worry about the NEXT Phish. If Phish has taught us anything it's that band no one is paying attention to that eventually rises to the top. When did the Dead pass the torch to Phish? Was there ever really a torch? Maybe so, maybe not.

Subject: one for the history books, but phish > moe. ?
this show, not that it needs to be said what with the reviews and 18 thousand downloads, is just balls-out insane. they really do just seem to feed off the crowd. the trey solo acoustic "wilson", with the chorus being sung so loudly...it gives me chills. what a great show for an equally great cause.

phish, however, have not passed the torch to moe. being a moe. fan of a few years and having been to only a handful of shows, i can't say as much as some of the others who post on archive. i do believe that moe. has sort of been running in place since '98. Warts and All IV shows this, as well as the crisper '98 shows on the archive. sure, their albums have been great since then, producing opportunities for out-of-this-world jamming. but they just can't seem to find the innovation and experimentation they had in those '98 shows.

Biscuits...i say Umphrey's McGee. Rolling Stone named them "Hot Phish" in their 2003 Hot List issue. check out some of the reviews of recent Umphrey's shows...everyone seems to think they're on top of their game, and continuing to evolve. i guess we'll see what happens.

This seems like the most amazing concert to listen to.Cant even imagine how was seeing it live.Awesome.This is a must download with trey, medeski, and sam bush. All on stage just sound like they are feeding off the crowd.Anyone who likes live music and jams, this is the one.Start of the show is just the way to kick it off.

Subject: Disgusting Show, but Phish passing the torch??
I appreciate the fanaticism but Phish passing the torch. I think presumptuous is the correct description of that statement. This is absolutely a sick show but Phish can't pass the torch to a band that hasn't evolved since 98. As a witness of over 50 phish and countless moe, sci, mmw etc. The Biscuits are the second coming people. Get out and get you some

awsome show and great lineup, however dapickle you got the wrong disaster buddy. this was to benefit the tsunami victims. and as far as passing the "phish" torch to moe., i dont quite agree with that either. nonetheless, great show, great cause, good quality cheers

Subject: Holy Crap!!!
This is an awesome concert, and you should totally download it now. I'd even say this is a part of "Jam-band history"- the concert when Phish passes the torch down to moe. I'm pretty sure this is also the concert that donated all of it's profits to the victims of 9/11 or something, I dunno. But this concert kicks some serious ass so listen to it and download it now!!!!

Subject: Nugs recording vs this one
Im glad we cleared up that the version on nugs is not a soundboard. I figured it wasn't (unless someone was clapping into the stage mics after every song). I grabbed both versions and I think the nugs one is slightly better, however its in mp3 format which makes these two versions negligable when they are burnt to disc. As far as the show itself goes...nasty nasty nasty. this belongs in every music fans collection.

Subject: I liked this recording
I must admit that I haven't listen to the entire show yet. I dl Spine->Buster from the FOB, 184's and this one. (I also dl the nugs.net, and while I LOVE moe.sbds becuase they do a fantastic job, the nugs are MP3s and it just lacks IMHO) For my bandwidth, I'm dl this copy. The other two aud's are good, but I'm a big fan of the Neumanns because the low end comes thru, esp on the 170's. This recording seem to have the best all around balance of being able to hear everyone, crisp cymbols, warm crowd.

My $.02 (REVISED. . .since I posted the scheops source has been uploaded. I must admit while I'm usually a Neumann man, my ears like the scheops on this one. . .REVISED)

Subject: Nugs.net does NOT have a soundboard
One of the reviews below stated that nugs.net has a soundboard of this show, this is not true. Nugs.net has the FOB Audience - B&K(DPA)4021s, which is also on the Archive. I'm still d/l so I can't honestly rate just yet, but if people think the B&K(DPA)4021s are a soundboard, they must sound better than this source.

Thanks for these great sounding moe auds. Listening is a great way to get fired up for their upcoming visit to Chi-town. I love the opening song selections here, Rebubula, Mexico, Plane Crash, for me does not get better than that. Must remind myself to not be late for Saturday's show.

Subject: i was there and it was amazing
Im proud to say that i was at this joining of jamband legends. Ive never seen moe. jam quite like this and trey looked and played like he did in 94. I was also floored by the talent of john medeski and sam bush. My personal hightlight was the 35 minute meat but there are many others. Anyone who loves moe. phish or any other jam band should download this immediately.

Peace

this show ROCKED. im so happy i got a hand on this recording, cant wait to listen. the energy in the crowd this night was insane and the band just fed off of it. some craaazzyyy jams here as you can probably imagine with trey, medeski and sam bush. Wilson was NUTS. so was boogie on reggae woman and crossroads and well everything else too. this is definately a keeper. best show ive ever been to. btw terrapin, this was NOT a moe show, it was a concert in support of tsunami releif.

b/c you're only getting half of a moe show

shouldn't this show really be Trey & Friends considering he basically plays the whole show...Medeski, Sam, and moe sound great, but I didn't think Trey had to push so much Phish on us...

he can't grasp the idea of being a guest and not the main act...

This concert was just amazing. Easily one of the best ones I've ever heard. And being front row centre for the concert really made it that much better.

Listen to the Boogie On - Medeski is particularly amazing on this. And the accoustic Chalkdust and Wilson were just a treat. Just listen to the concert!
